Great attitude. You went you ate you thought about it and now you're getting over it. I'm glad to say that I did not over eat this holiday but I have not moved much either so I'm equally as guilty.
I have no doubt that you will jump right back on that wagon BEFORE teh sun and moon align ;) and you'll do great as always. You always do and this just proves that it is aalways a struggle no matter how long ago you reached goal and you're human just like us. Sorry but I kinda like knowing that even though you seem like super woman your human just like me :).
I hope those cookies and candy were good!

Yes, we are ALL with on this one. I gained a good 4 pounds in two weeks and now I have to work my hiney off (literally) to get them to go away....4 pounds isn't a big deal, but I was SOOO close to my goal....I'm glad the holidays are just about over so I can stay focused and work hard to see great results...goodness, it's already time to work on that bikini body...not that I've ever owned one, but I'm hoping to this year!!! You're doing a fantastic job!!!

I totally do the same thing! I also know firsthand how that "a platter of bad desserts down...screw the rest of the days" can be. I am in it now!

But I am sure one day back on track and you will remember how great it feels. Happy resolutions!

A few days ago, I read a post on a message board that compared losing weight to going to rehab. Well, if weight loss is like rehab, the 26th must have been detox day for me. I didn't really like the fact that I had to go back to work, but I think it helped me get back into my routine. I packed my meals and snacks, and I set aside specific times to eat. At the end of the day, I think it worked. When I feel myself falling off the wagon, I just get strict with myself.

One of my stocking stuffers was a one-pound bag of M&Ms. I am planning to open the bag, but I'm going to make 100-calorie packs and set them aside for my daily chocolate fix.

Great job by being strong and getting back on track! I actually laughed out loud with your "F" it. I'm usually like that too, i think so ....I've already screwwed up here, why not do in-n-out and make myself sick!

Being an ex-ww'er, I've decided to go back to the meetings and the point logging! You are great inspiration for me to want to get back on the program!

Holly - my friend who I am doing WW with and I are totally in line with you. We are so hungry today it is ridiculous so it is not in your head. I think that the carbs and extra sugar really play with insulin levels which affects hunger. So it is real. It will get better!

Thanks Roni and everyone. I tried so hard to journal but failed...I have moved on...promise. Thanks everyone for sharing. It feels good to know I am not alone.
Take care.

Ug, back on the wagon.

After nearly 2 weeks of lazy tracking and then one full week of no tracing at all and horrible eating/little to no exercise, I managed to get by with only gaining half a pound. Though, I don't dare risk it anymore. Plus, I feel bloated and sick from all the candy and carbs I have been mindlessly eating. My body is revolting and I need to start listening. So it's back to tracking and back to running 4 days a week. Back to normal sized portions and healthy snacks.

One thing that makes getting back on the wagon hard for me is that I swear my stomach has stretched from all the over eating and as a result I get hungry more often and normal portions are less filling. It takes me a good 2 weeks to get past that feeling. Maybe its all in my head ;)

Best of luck to everyone. I never realized how hard it is to stay on track this time of year!

-Holly

yeah, I was with you, right back on track as of the 26th, I don't have huge new years plans (either eve or day), so I should be OP those days. No reason to let one bad day turn into a bad week and into a bad month.

I'm totally on the wagon! I rejoined WW last week, and I lost 1.4 lbs the first week, which isn't great, but, considering it was Christmas...

To be honest, New Year's is going to be more of a challenge for me. But I'm on the wagon now and loving it!

Luckily I had to work yesterday (the 26th), so I was able to get right back on my routine. I even worked out last night, and it feels SO good! I left all of the leftover cookies, candy, etc at mom's house, so I'm starting with a clean slate. Starting on Jan 1 is too cliched anyway :) Good luck everyone!
