Recognize ‘the cycle’ and deal with it in other ways besides FOOD!  

I had such a great week and now today I’m a bottomless pit, a bag of chips, pizza, cookies. To make it worse, I WEIGH IN TOMORROW!!! 

*sigh*

We’ll see how it goes.

    I have had the same problem today! I can get so upset with my self because I to have worked hard all week and here I ruin it today! I know we have to try harder the day after and I know I can do that and you will also! Your the best and your site ROCKS!!!

    Hi Roni!
    I had a very similar day today. We had company over and we had tortilla chips with a layered salsa dip (which I made) along with a “low-fat chocolate cheesecake”. I snacked and snacked and snacked. Even when all the company left. It just goes to show that we all slip up sometimes. Just think to yourself, “I did it, the day is over and I will be back on plan tomorrow.” You can do this and don’t worry, we all do the same sometimes! :)

    The same thing happened to me!!! and after reading other comments I see it happened to more than me and you. I’m so frustrated with myself right now, but I guess the best thing we can do now is move on and plan to not let it happen again.

    I always say to myself, “this too shall pass.” and it always does. Hang in there! THere WILL be good days and there WILL be bad days. It’s inevitable for all of us.

    I’m with you on the time of the month right now. It SUCKS and what is it about Haagen Daaz that makes that time so much easier to deal with???

    It’s funny, I rarely pay much attention to where I am in my cycle, but sure enough, every time I have a day where I just can’t stop automatically shoveling junk food into my mouth, I later realize that I’m in the three days or so before I start. I can be so good any other time, but those few days just feel out of my conscious control.

    I always just tell myself that my body must have needed those extra calories, since we do actually burn more at that time of the month. (er, not as many as I’ve eaten, but whatever.)

    I had to sit at the computer before I ate the entire pan of oatmeal bars with cream cheese frosting. Oh yah, I can relate!! But now that I put down the fork, I have picked up the h2o and I will hopefully shut my pie-hole until dinner! (hummmm, I like pie)
    We are all in this together girls. We are not perfect. That’s what makes us, well..us!!!!!

    I read your “Note to self” several times today. I even have butternut squash fries in the oven, but did that stop me from eating a couple of nuts, a handful of cereal, a spoonful of taco mean, a couple of mini tootsie rolls or a couple of frozen peanut butter cups. NOPE! PMS is for the birds!! We are in the midst of a blizzard here and husband is out of town…I guess I will be burning this off shoveling the driveway!!
