One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

Is it possible…

10 Comments 1254 views

to be busier now when I’m on winter break then when I was teaching full time?

MAN!  It’s that schedule thing again. I’m all out of whack and I don’t mean my eating, per say.  I’ve been doing really well just not journaling like I normally do.

What have I been doing you ask?

Well, wrapping up things for school, Christmas shopping, getting tires and breaks on the car (OMG what a time killer), going to the doctor, organizing the house, and all the other little things that get forgotten while the semester is in full swing.

Tomorrow promises to be just as busy while I finish the last of the shopping, hit the gym, weigh in and to top it off, I just got invited to a poker night! I never say no to a poker night. Especially when the husband is willing stay home with the toddler when I know he wants to play too.

Thursday’s no different either! I have a business meeting (things are happening!), the cardio kicking boxing class and I need to get some work done on the sites.

All this running around does mean I’ve been eating out a bit more.  It doesn’t help that I haven’t gone grocery shopping in over a week either. So when the husband says, “want to get Chinese” I hop on it!

Overall, I’m busy, I’m happy and I’m just trying to make good decisions.  My posts may be bit sporadic over the next week because of the holiday.  Plus I plan on doing so blog clean up.  Now that I moved the food related posts to the new food blog my navigation doesn’t make much sense. Between that, updating the community and posting some of my food ideas I’m a busy bee. I’ll get back to posting my daily menus after the holidays, I promise.  I just need some time to get everything else in order.

As for my previous post and your comments, YES I am going to move to free weights! I think I may take your advice and inquire about a trainer tomorrow. This way I’ll get down the moves first and  I won’t injure myself. I’m sure I’ll post about New Years Resolutions soon but be sure free weights will be on me list for ’08!

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

It’s just that busy time of year! I hear ya, it all seems a little crazy doesn’t it? That we get so stressed out and hectic over Christmas, when it’s really supposed to be time to relax and enjoy time with family and friends?

I always seem to be a whole lot busier when school is out and I haven’t quite figured that out! School finished for me on Friday and ever since then I have been running around like crazy. When does it stop??? Hope things slow down for you a little bit!

this time of year makes for a crazy life huh? thanks for continually updating and running this site. i know you hear it all the time, but it’s a major insipration to us out in the world. hey, have you ever heard or tried USANA products? they are MMM company that my husband was involved with years ago, but we still order the product and don’t do the MMM part. anyways, they have a product you can add to your shakes called “fibergy” that is packed with 12 grams of fiber per serving. it’s a vanilla almond flavor and super tasty to drink with just water or add to anything! thought you might wanna check it out.

    Hi Roni!

I read your site everyday and actually re-read your tummy tuck postings. Are you completely healed up now? I bet your scar is hardly visible anymore.

You are a true inspiration and I thank you!

I know being busy is what we do best! I am soo good with busy that I’m worried about christmas vacay away from work and patterned meals…. Great job on sticking to the gym! I’ve been skipping out and bicariously (sp??)living through your gym work outs (and Carolyn’s!!) I need to kick myself in the butt! I’m going tonight!

Well I’m glad I’m not the only one that feel that way. I am making it to the gym though!!

shannon – I never heard of USANA product. I’ll have to look into them.

Allison – I am pretty healed up, yes. But the scare is still visible. Don’t worry I’ll be posting a 2 year update!

I feel like I’m reading my own post. I’m on break a break between semesters from teaching, too, and have a zillion things to catch up on that I never get to when school’s in session.
Congrats on moving to the free weights! I always enjoy your posts, and your sites. Thanks and Merry Christmas!
