Nonstop eating from 5-10pm
November 1, 2007
And don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say non-stop. Even the husband noticed and asked what was wrong. I have been totally stress eating tonight. I have a lot going on at work, at home and I just feel off. On top of all that, I have to travel this weekend for a wedding. Actually, I’m IN the wedding along with the husband and the toddler! It’s going to be a fun weekend but stressful. As I get older and have more going on just being out of routine is stressful for me. Plus traveling with a 2 year old is an adventure in it’s self!
I’m going to do my best but I’ll be signing off until Sunday or Monday. Maybe I’ll come back and update my photos with one in the bridesmaid dress! Speaking of updates, I added October’s photos to the Food Photos section.
I hope you all have a great weekend!

Roni I am sure you will get through your plans for the weekend and still stay OP. You have done such a great job all this time and I am very impressed. I am in the same way as you lately. I have been stress eating and since the stress is not going away for at least most of this month, I better get a handle on it now before it destroys my achievements and accomplishments. Good luck and enjoy your the wedding.

Hey Roni- I think it must have been something in the air last night! We were packing (moving this weekend) and even though we stopped to have dinner, I ate again like an hour later…and I had a snack right after work (around 5:30!) I’m usually more disciplined but I just keep munching and munching! Good luck this weekend- I want pictures in the bridesmaid dress!!

Hi Roni – I found your blog and have been reading it daily – you are an inspiration and I love your enthusiasm and creative ideas. I want to share with you that in 2003 – I worked hard and lost about 40 lbs and got to “lifetime”….but then as time went on something happened…”life happened” – normal stress, etc. and my bad habits took over again. I would make a “Plan Of Attack” for not letting bad habits like stress eating or not exercising or overeating period take over…Make a plan – don’t let what happened to me happen to you. I am now back to losing – 26 lbs gone, and 33 to go. BE STRONG, BE SMART, TAKE CARE OF YOU!!!!! I think it’s all about balance…and finding other ways to deal with stress :) You know that. Have a wonderful weekend.

As a fellow stress eater and mother of a two year old, I can totally understand your entire post. I totally get what you mean about the wedding – yes, it’s fun but OMG, stressful as hell, especially with the kid. Do you ever read http://sundrymourning.com Linda is a great writer and she just did a really funny post about taking her son (a little over two) to her husband’s work event. Very funny and insightful.
You’ll be fine at the wedding and if you eat a little more than usually, you will just step it up when you get back to “real life.” I, too, am a complete “routine” person. Whenever I am out of it, things begin going haywire! Good luck and have a blast.

Ugh! Do I know how you feel. I am doing the non-stop munching today. I keep telling myself to stop and I just keep eating. I am going for a walk so hopefully, I can get it out of my system. I am so over points for the day already but I will have a healthy dinner and tomorrow will be better.

I went through a weird time with eating and nutrition because I was addicted to alcohol. I followed steps of nutrition including protein in the morning and afternoon and healthy carbs at night that had a low glycemic index. A good article here: http://www.myaddiction.com/education/articles/nutrition.html
Any thoughts on this?
