Holy Posts Batman!
October 10, 2007
Ok, so I didn’t lie when I told you I had a lot of things to post about yesterday. Geesh! I go to bed early one night and look at me, 4 posts in one night!
Overall, I had a great day. My throat is still quite an annoyance but I’m feeling a little better.

Yep I stole ‘nada’ from you :) I love your site and ’steal’ as much as I can from you! I’ve tried a bunch of your recipes and love them. Thanks for all you do :)

I saw your note about cooking pumpkin. I have never tried that - looks like it we would like it - because I love all the squashes and sweet potatoes.
I had a friend - has since moved or I would ask her for you - that used to bake stew in a whole pumpkin. I think that she cut the top off and scooped out the seeds - jut like you would if you were carving it. Then she put her ingredients IN in and baked stew in the oven.
I don’t know whether or not she put the top back on. When I bake Squash - I turn them up-side-down in water (I think so they don’t dry out - but I don’t know for sure). so maybe it does need the “lid” ON to generate enough heat and moisture.
Sounded like something you might enjoy trying with your son - my friend said when her girls got older - she didn’t bake one - and her husband - the biggest kid of them all - really missed the tradition.

LSAT went pretty well… or at least my brain didn’t feel like the giant lump of mush that I remember after finishing the GRE last year. Thanks for asking! <3
