Thank you for being so honest. It does my heart good to know that you can be healthy and fit and slip up occasionally. I've just got to graduate from "all of the time" to "Occasionally."

Would making a commitment to go to weigh-ins more regularly help? (I am not from WW :)!) I know you already have done so amazingly well with all your commitments (gym, journaling, stepping on the scale in the morning), but I just observed that you seem to have dropped off in sept and oct compared to earlier periods. You remain an inspiration to us all.

every since a co-worker recommended your blog site, i've found you truly inspirational and motivating. i do really good during the day, while I'm at work, even when I go out to lunch and pretty much stay on track, but towards the late evening, when I'm settling down for the day and watching t.v., I get these HHUUGGEE urges to just munch out. Sometimes I can get past it, but there are times, that I just can't.

First thanks also for posting good and bad days we all have them and need to realize no one is perfect. My opinion on the binging is this. How close is TOM? I get like this every month about 10 days before I am going to start. My weight always goes up even when I don't give in to my hunger. I never paid attention until I started to weigh every day and then I realized it was the same week every month that the hunger went up and so did my weight. As soon as my period starts my weight and the cravings go down.

Hello. Just noticing a couple things .. =) You have been talking alot about working out at the gym much more than normal and working out hard, your body is trying to tell you it needs more sustenance. You are hungry. Your body is trying to build your muscles, make you stronger. It can't do that if you don't feed it enough. And another thing I kind of connected .. when you eat your egg omlett thingy you tend to eat less during the day. When you start your day with more carbs, at least it seems to me, that you eat more throughout the day. Just a thought. =)

Move on, you can and you will.

Your blog is very inspiring to me. I always think "See, even Roni has bad days where she eats out of control". I look at you at your goal trying to live your life normally and maintain, which is where I'm at. Thanks for being so honest with us!

Hey Roni,

Thank you for posting your bad days too! Since you always post them, I thought it would make you feel better to see someone post them right back at ya. I had a bad week last week, and one day consisted of:
Mcdonalds quarter pounder and fries
followed by Cold Stone, and then a jar of peanut butter and a teaspoon .. *putting my head down in shame*.

Hope anyone reading this can feel less alone when they're over eating! I know it helps me feel better. I'm back on track starting today. I didn't lose 40 pounds just to gain it back!

Justine

I think it's so great that you post about the slip ups (which we ALL are guilty of) and not just the great days. Part of long term success is recovering from the inevitable out-of-control moments.

And Girl Scout Cookies? Talk about provocation.

I bet, with the large number of people who enjoy reading your blog, that you've helped a lot of people with this post. We need to realize that we're all human, and there's no point in a lot of guilt and self-loathing when we overindulge. You just get back on track the next day.

Thanks for this!
