Thomas 100% Whole Wheat Mini Bagels
September 9, 2007
I swear I posted this find before but then realized I probably lost it in the crash. Well I came across these again today while shopping. I am such a HUGE fan! 100% whole-wheat 120 calories, 1g of fiber and 3 g of fiber.
Today I came home from the store and topped one with A Laughing Cow Light French Onion Cheese Wedges. Oh my word it was just the perfect snack!

Sounds delish - thanks for always posting your food finds. I have found more healthy foods in the last year than I have in my other 27 years - and it is all because of people who are willing to share. Thanks!
On another note - your pizza post is making me hungry! Is it silly to say pizza is my favorite food?? Cus it is! And, as far as I am concerned there is nothing wrong with indulging as long as you go back to healthy - which you always do!

Roni,
Can you take a look-see at the ingredients and tell me if there is High Fructose Corn Syrup in them?
Thanks, Joy

Their website didn’t give that info, and I’m trying to avoid that nasty stuff.
HFCS contributes to insulin resistance and it shuts off the “stop, I’m full” switch.
Rather annoying stuff, don’t you think?!

Hi Roni
Crabby sent me.
You have a terrific site here. I am often “saved” by Thomas’ light multigrain english muffins at 100 calories, 1 gram of fat, 24 grams of carbs with 8 grams of fiber. Usually half a muffin will do it for me.
Joyce I just checked the ingredients on the Light muffins, no high fructose corn syrup, but there is sucralose, ie, splenda.

Thanks Terrie! That’s good to know.
The Thomas 100 cal Wheat DOES have HFCS, and wasn’t I ticked when I found that out too late.
I’ll have to try the multi-grain now.
Appreciate the heads-up!
Joy

joyce & Terri -
Yup I just looked the bagels do. I used to eat the light english muffins too. Now I’ve moved to the 100% whole wheat ones of those as well. I don’t believe the have HFCS, but they do have a bit of sucrolose as well.

Haven’t seen their bagels in the store I shop at, but they do have whole wheat English muffins for 1 point each. Yummy!
