One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

Points Shall Return

7 Comments 1235 views

OK OK OK I have heard you and I shall respond. :~)  I will bring back the my daily point journals. You can stop emailing me now! I have to admit I kind of miss doing them anyway.  Just give me some time.  I need to get through the first week of classes!

This weekend I will be catching up on everything, emails, comments, workout progress and the community. Although I’m busy, my week is going well.  I’m not letting the stress get to me.  I’m working out when I can and bringing good lunches and snacks while at work.  Having a ton of fresh produce and frozen leftovers is really helping.  Preparation is truly key.  It’s hump day and I still have loads of the good stuff to being with me tomorrow, yogurts, grapes, peppers, carrots, apples and strawberries.

Today was my second 12-hour day and I’m spent.  I did have time to post a new tip and I added another picture to the chayote squash post.  I didn’t think the one I used really showed what they looked like.

It’s now off to bed for me. I’ll start back up my daily food journals in a few days.  By this weekend, I’ll have a better idea on how to plan for the rest of the semester and I’ll find my groove.

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

If *you* like the points, great. I did the Core plan about 1 1/2 years ago really successfully and only counted my noncore points. WW even has a bracelet with a charm on it to use to mark you’re points for the day (or week if you’re core…). I never really used it though. I only bought core foods for home, ordered “core” meals at restaurants (even though I know there’s hidden fat), and was careful when at a friends house/party about just eating until I was satisfied, not full. It was perfect for me b/c I could munch A LOT on core substitutes and didn’t have to journal. I’m awful at it.

All that said, we all appreciate all the work you put into your blog and points menus. However, if you feel overwhelmed, you’re not as likely to feel successful and more likely to leave “the plan”. Thanks for all you’ve done thus far.

No joke…Hearing that you will post points again is the highlight of my day. I am so pathetic!!! Thanks again for your amazing site.

Thank you for this awesome website! You truly are an inspiration to me. I am a 41 year old, homeschooling mother and I find all your tips so helpful. I am currently at 150 lbs on my 5’5″ frame, I am so out of shape and just really find it so hard to stay focused on “MY” health & weight with 2 children (9 & 6). I am hoping I can find that point in my life where I won’t be distracted and will stay focused to loose the weight. Thanks for everything!

Hey, I understand your desire not to do the points thing. It causes me to be unhealthily obsessed. Why not just switch to Core? I’ve found it really helps me especially since I just picked up on the exercise!

Hi Roni! Thanks so much for the welcome to the community. I’ve been meaning to get back to you for ages, but I’m also suffering from being far too busy for my own good!

Thanks also for the helpful suggestions on getting more fruits & vegs in my diet! I’ve added the apple and carrot sticks and I’m adding a half banana to my cereal and oatmeal in the morning which helps tons!

Thanks for all you do here. I know I surely appreciate it =)

As always, thanks for all you do. If you are at a point where you want to try and post without points, than perhaps, you should do that. This your journey. We each have our own and we just tag along for yours. But, I think you need to make that decision for yourself….what you want and need to do for your life!!

You shouldn’t feel obligated to post points because “your public” is begging for it.

You mentioned Core, with a rheticoral question – “I do mostly core, don’t I?”

Well, after watching Janet, nope you don’t, not really. But then my sister makes a few consessions too, like Dannon light & fit instead of fat free plain yogurt. *shudder* That stuff is nasty!

The next time you visit my blog, go to the link I have for Nautilus. She is doing Core – at goal – and has it DOWN PAT.

    Good luck!
