Hershey’s Lite Syrup
August 14, 2007
Did you know you could have chocolate milk?
I hate when people say things like that.
How about this? Did you know you can have chocolate milk while only adding 25 calories?
How cool is that? That’s how many calories are in 1 tablespoon of Hershey’s Lite Syrup.
I was on the hunt for syrup to treat the toddler to some chocolate milk and this caught my eye. As far as I can tell there are no artificial sweeteners (please correct me if I’m wrong) and it tastes just like I remember the regular stuff. Then again it’s been awhile since I had the regular stuff. ;~)
Needless to say, I made some this morning to have with breakfast. I mean, who doesn’t like chocolate milk for breakfast? I’m just happy I found another way to get my milk servings in.

My kids can’t tell the difference. Only difference I noticed was it was not as thick as the orginal!!
Still DAMN GOOD!!

My kids drink chocolate milk like it is going out of style so this is great to know. I’m going out tomorrow and will add it on my list, right under the mango.

I LOVE this stuff - I actually found Hershey’s sugar free and have been using it ever since. I use it over ice cream and fruit, GREAT SNACK!!!

This stuff is the best. I originally picked it up becuase my niece will not drink regular whole milk and I didn’t want to add a bunch of sugar and calories. Turns out, we both love it!

Ooh, I’ll have to check that out. It could be yummy over some Breyer’s Dbl Churn Light ice cream, over a Vita Muffin, so many possibilities. Not that I’m even a big chocolate fan but I like to know that if I want it I can have it and not worry about the extra calories/poits.

Love your site! Don’t like the Hershey’s Lite! Everyone will just have to try it themselves. Hubby and I can’t bring ourselves to use it ever, ever again!!!

The Hershey’s sugar-free has even LESS calories, just in case you haven’t seen it around. I have had to go hunting for it around town at times.

what’s scary to me is that I think this stuff is sweet enough…and there’s nothing artificial in there…just less sugar. my kids love it, too!

I really like chocolate milk when I’m craving something sweet at night…my fix I believe is better than the Hershey’s Lite Syrup (actually better than the full fledged syrup!) It’s made by the Disney Magic Selection brands and I can’t remember the name because I need to go to the grocery…but they are in a packet and you mix it in with milk! The flavor is very rich!! =) Just 5 calories too! 5!! =)
