First of many…
August 27, 2007
long days that is. I get to campus at 9 AM and my last class doesn’t end until 9 PM. I have the same day on Wednesday. I’m hoping I can muster up enough energy to go to the gym tomorrow night.
I have so much I want to tell you but I can hardly stay away. Keep an eye out this week for a book review and a new produce pick. I also wanted to tell you about my disastrous weekend and awesome workout progress but it will have to wait. Here’s my quick food journal for today. I came home and made that Quick Tortilla Pizza man was it AWESOME!
- Grapes
- Turkey Loaf with some Brown Rice (frozen leftovers)
- Peppers stripes
- Turkey Orzo Cabbage Rolls (frozen leftovers)
- Strawberries
- 8 oz light flavored yogurt
- Carrots
- Quick Tortilla Pizza with fresh tomatoes, baby spinach, red and yellow peppers, 1 oz cheese, and spices.
- Pretzels

Jessica Sienfeld (Jerry’s wife) has a new cookbook out. DECEPTIVELY DELICIOUS. The article in Redbook mentioned broccoli puree in the breadcrumbs of homemade chicken nuggets, and veggie puree in the sauce of mac and cheese. I just requested it from the library.

how how how can we end up with leftover energy enough to make it to the gym with days like these? I am about to start a job with 60+ hours a week and am quite nervous that I’ll always be too tired to get exercise in… let alone cooking and eating well. Any energy-maximizing tips? How do you motivate yourself to work out when all you want to do is lie in bed and be comatose?

Roni,
Always great to read your posts. I miss seeing the pints on your daily food journal. Yes, I am a selfish wench! It gave me good ideas for things to eat and the point values. I gues I will always have the archives..:-) Anyhow, thanks again for keeping this site current and interesting. It makes WW do-able for me.
