Holy Water Weight Barbie!
July 29, 2007
Seriously, the scale dropped almost 5 pounds overnight! You would think it wasn’t possible but it is. That’s why I get so frustrated when people are upset after a weekly weigh-in and they see a gain or even a small loss. I know it can be disappointing but if you only weigh yourself once a week and happen to have a salty meal the night before, the scale can be WAY off.
I’m cutting it short tonight (again). I spent the last few hours rebuilding the good old food photos section. I’ve been getting a few requests and I wanted it back up.
I did forget to tell you I never officially weighed in yesterday. I thought the family hike was more important. Today I could have gotten off my butt and gone but I was just too lazy. I think I may hold off until Wed so I can see my favorite leader.
I’ll close with my oath to the Barbie Brigade. Thanks to swizzlepop for my prefect Barbie representation. Seriously, this is what I look like everyday. That’s right I’m the geek in my kitchen on the laptop typing up what I just made for dinner. If you have NO IDEA what I’m talking about check out the Original Barbie. Our “little community” is getting SO BIG (and super supportive).

Roni,
I was looking for a link to contact you but couldn’t find it. I just wanted to pass along this link to the latest hungry girl recipe for fried cheese sticks. http://www.hungry-girl.com/chew/chewdetails.php?isid=1156 .I remember how much you like cheese. They are actually baked. I made them last night and they were yummy. You probably have what you need on hand to whip them up. If you try them out and like them(which I think you will)would you post a picture? I’d love to see how they turn out. Mine were a little more melted than the HG pic but still yummy!
Take Care!
Michelle

Hey Roni,
Just wanted to let you know that your picture page (with the food) looks beautiful. Thank you so much for taking the time to put them back up - I know losing all that information has been so hard - you are doing a fabulous job (more than ever)!
Thank you,
Justine

Oh my goodness, looking at your photo page just made me extremely hungry and inspired to cook!
Actually, I was planning on making the Creamy Apple Pork this week. I got a Crockpot for my bridal shower and bought a pork roast last week. But I see it hasn’t been recovered yet :(
Ah well. Do know all your hard work really is inspiring. I enjoy coming to your page everyday and I have an RSS feed on my iGoogle so I can ‘check up’ often.
Thanks,
Holly

Hi Roni-
I wanted to share a tool I have been using for the past month called the “google 15″. It shows you your moving average- so you dont think you really did gain 4 pounds in one day.
My only complaint is that the graph only tracks for 2 weeks. This helps so much, especially when we struggle for small losses or are trying to maintain.
I hope this helps you as much as your site has helped me :)

Roni,
The creamy apple pork came out great! My fiance and I had it over some Trader Joe’s whole wheat pasta, and it was delicious!
Thanks again for your quick response, I really can’t tell you how much of an inspiration you have been, as my fiance and I enter our 5th month on WW (I’ve lost 25, he’s lost 38!).
Thanks!
