Roni,
Thanks for the inspiration. Your site is very helpful and I find myself checking it every day. It has become a ritual :). I appreciate all the time you have spent on this site. I can only imagine how hectic your days must be. Just know that a ton of us appreciate all the work.

Some kids are really just born picky. I've never made special meals for my four kids, either they eat it or they don't, but they don't get anything else. We have a really healthy diet, and my first three kids are really adventurous and eat everything. My last one, a twin, eats only the "white" food group. She doesn't like fruit even! I give her lots of fresh fruit smoothies and "dip" for her pretzels or crackers made out of steamed, pureed veggies, but I try not to sweat it. I figure it's my job to present the good stuff and either they'll eat it or not. Good luck!

My godson has food issue and went to therapy for 3 months last year before his little brother was born in october. He progressed nicely eating more then three or four things but has since regressed and now they are going to have to take him back. For some reason this is not an uncommon thing. He only mainly eats yogart, pancakes and strawberry milk(pedisure). There are some other things to look for when they eat too. E-mail if you would like more details. Thanks

The trick I use with pizza is I use a jar of store-bought spaghetti sauce (or make my own if i have time) and then I add chopped up cooked veggies (peppers, zuchinni, broccoli etc) and puree it.. that way my kids get to eat pizza but unbeknowst to them, they are also eating tons of veggies!!!

@Anonymous - An ear of corn up to 7 inches is only 1 point. As far as I can remember!

I'm doing "Roni Math" on the corn and beans. I only had about 2-3 oz of chicken and less then a serving of beans. This is how I estimate.

Roni, My niece (2 years old 7/15) may or may not eat something new that you put on her plate, but will try something new if it is on someone else's plate. If i were you I would try making the healthy pizza as close to the kind she likes, so I would do the sauce.I can't wait to hear how it worked out.

Hi there. Love your blog and check it daily....

Just a question about your menu...

You have chicken and beans and 3 ears of corn at 7 pts.... Wouldn't the corn be that on it's own? I thought it was 2 pts each.

Good luck on the pizza. I buy thin crust Greek pizza and my 9yo loves it, but the 4yo will eat nodding but pepperoni. Have you ever seen 'Harriet the Spy' - Mom tries to get Harriet to bring something other than tomatoe sandwiches to school and Harriet says, "I can't help it if I know what I like, and I like Tomatoe sandwiches."
